Frequently Asked Questions

Q: To whom it may concern, Hello, my name is Jenna Lombardo and I am an employee of Union Orthotics and Prosthetics in Pittsburgh, PA. I was wondering if you would be able to send our company a few brochures on the Charleston Bending Brace that we would be able to hand out to our patients that are receiving their first brace and have questions about the appearence, functionality, etc. of the brace. Although our practitioner is able to answer their questions, we would like to have a pamphlet that the patient is able to take home with him/her. Thank you very much in advance. Q: Our 9 year old daughter, Jenna, was just diagnosed with scoliosis. She has a right thoracic 30 degree single curve. Based on her personality, we know a Boston 18-23 hour per day brace won't work for her. Who in the Boston area is an expert in the Charleston (or Providence) bracing methods? Thank you.
A: Mr. Sweeten, thank you for your question regarding the Charleston Bending Brace. Please be advised that The orthotist and doctors at Boston Childrens Hospital are very well experienced with all aspects of Scoliosis bracing. They are trained in both the Charleston, Boston, and Providence Brace systems. C. Ralph Hooper, Jr., CPO Charleston Bending Brace (843) 577-9577
